What do I need to know before I visit?

  • The Emotions Museum recommends that it would be beneficial for the individual visitors to stay and play in the museum for at least 1 hour with a maximum stay of 2 hours. In any case, we recommend that you take into consideration each child's personal rhythm.

    The school/group programs are designed so as to maximize the benefit for the children. Therefore they last between 60 and 90 minutes depending on the age of the group.

  • No, the entrance to the Museum is permitted for children over 5 years of age.

    The Museum addresses to children (5+), teenagers (13-17) and adults. The age limits set for each museum's program, workshop or action are defined with particular respect for children, their emotional development and security.

  • Για τα εργαστήρια του Σαββατοκύριακου μπορείτε να βγάλετε το εισιτήριό σας ηλεκτρονικά μέσω του more.com (έως και 2 ώρες πριν την έναρξη του εργαστηρίου) ή στο χώρο του μουσείου (την ίδια μέρα 10:00-13:00), ανάλογα τη διαθεσιμότητα.

    Εισιτήρια για την διαδραστική έκθεση διατίθενται μόνο στην υποδοχή του μουσείου.

  • Each ticket is valid for one (1) person only and for the date, time, and activity indicated.

    Once purchased, tickets cannot be refunded, nor can the date or activity be changed.

    In case of cancellation of the event due to the Museum, a replacement will be offered. If a replacement is not possible, a refund will be given.

  • Yes, you participate in all activities, together with your child. The aim of the exhibition and the workshops is to give the opportunity to both children and adults to cooperate and play together.

    No. It is essential for the adults to be together with their children in order to discuss and play with them in this particular exhibition which has as theme the emotion of anger. The museum provides the adults with instructions for all the interactive exhibits.

  • Yes! On the weekends, adults and teenagers (15+) can explore the exhibition on their own or with their friend group.

    An adult does not need to accompany a child to visit and play in the exhibition or participate in a workshop.

  • The museum is housed in an old, listed building, on an uphill road, with approximately 10 steps to the main entrance.

    Wheelchair access has one room, out of the three of the exhibition.
    It is the room where most workshops and seminars are held.

  • Taking photos is permitted only as long as there are no other people in the frame.

    Videos and/or audio recordings are not permitted, in any case.

  • Food is not allowed in the Museum's exhibition spaces.

    The Museum doesn't have a cafeteria/restaurant.

    During weekends though you could bring your own food and enjoy it at the Museum's little backyard, if the weather allows it.

  • Yes! During the exhibition hours the animators of the museum have only an auxiliary role.

    They can give information on how adults and children can discover the exhibition.

    In addition, they animate and coordinate the workshops and the educational programs.

  • Yes, every item of the exhibit has its own number and instructions, on how to play and interact with it. The instructions are in Greek and English.

  • Comfortable clothes! So you can sit on the floor as well!

  • During weekdays the museum runs educational programs for school groups whereas during weekends the museum is open for the public to visit. Also during weekends the museum runs workshops for children and adults. For more information you can see Activities and the Calendar.

  • When children feel the need to play again at the same exhibition, even in the same year, it is very helpful for them to have the opportunity to revisit the exhibition and work through the topics they want to explore.
